• DALSA with G-PEACE celebrates Gandhi Jayanti in Court Complex Jammu

JAMMU: In order to commemorate one 155th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and 120th birthday of Lal Bahadur Shastri the District Legal Services Authority Jammu in collaboration with Global PEACE Organization organized a mega event in the District Court complex, Jammu in which large number of judicial officers, advocates, PLV’s and volunteers of Global PEACE Organization participated in which  Sh. Yash Paul Bourney Principal District and Sessions Judge and Chairman District Legal Services Authority Jammu was the Chief Guest and Ms. Bala Joyti, Sh. Kamlesh Pandit and Sh. Chain Lal Bavoria senior District and Sessions Judges were the guests of honour.

In the first session a seminar on Gandhian Thoughts and ‘Swachhta hi Sewa hai’ was organized. The Chief Guest Sh. Yash Paul Bourney enlightened the audience about the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi and Sh. Lal Bahadur Shastri. He urged everyone to imbibe Gandhian principles of thought in their day to day life and spread his message of truth and non-violence across the globe.

We should clean our thoughts and work with dedication and devotion to pay real tribute to Gandhi ji. Ms. Bala Joyti Sr. District and Sessions Judge, CBI Court Jammu spoke at length about the cleanliness drive and urged everyone to maintain cleanliness at home, offices and the surroundings so as to give a true meaning to the campaign Swachhta hi Sewa hai.

 Advocate Sheikh Altaf Hussain Chairman Global PEACE Organization highlighted the moral values of Gandhi by narrating a poem spreading positive vibes to everyone. Ms. Simriti Sharma Secretary District Legal Services Authority Jammu presented the welcome address the beautifully conducted the proceedings of the event.  On this occasion the dozens of employees of the Jammu Municipal Corporation and Safai Karamcharies in the court were presented the certificates of appreciation as a mark of respect and blankets were distributed to them as a token of love.

In the second session the judicial officers, employees of the court and volunteers of Global PEACE Organization participated in the cleanliness drive in the court complex and sent a message of cleanliness to the society.  Later a plantation drive was also organised in the court complex with the assistance of the Forest Department. Dr. Trishi Gupta, Advocate Altaf Hussain Janjua, Advocate Digvijay Singh Bandral and Mohd Sikander Wani, PLVs assisted in organizing the event successfully.
