SHOPIAN: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Shopian in collaboration with Health Department Shopian today observed ‘World Mental Health Day’ under the theme “It is Time to Prioritise Mental Health in the Workplace,” at District Hospital, Shopian.

The programme, organized under the guidance of the Chairman, DLSA Shopian, Mehmood Ahmad Chowdhary, aimed to spread awareness, educate people and enhance their understanding about mental health conditions and equip them with the skills necessary for addressing these issues. The Resource persons Adv. Shabir Ahmad Reshie, Nasir-Ul-islam and Assistant LADC, Sumaya Paul highlighted the objectives of organizing this awareness programme.

Dr. Adil Farooq Medical Officer emphasized the pivotal role of mental health in societal progress, stating that only mentally healthy individuals can truly contribute to society’s betterment. The programme was attended by staff Members of DLSA Shopian, Doctors and Para-Medical Staff of the said Hospital and Para Legal Volunteers.
