KUPWARA: On the eve of 'World Sight Day', a ‘Special Eye Screening camp’ was today organized by District Health Society Kupwara at D.C Office Kupwara. On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan visited the camp and received feedback from the concerned regarding the observance of the World Sight Day in the district.

Chief Medical Officer Kupwara was also present. The Camp was organized under the banner “Love Your Eyes, Kids” in which an Ophthalmology Surgeon and Ophthalmology Technician were deployed. On the occasion, the DC appreciated the efforts of the Health Department Kupwara for organizing the Eye Screening camp. She asked the concerned for continuing such initiatives which will benefit the people in large.

Meanwhile, eye screening of various employees of D.C Office Complex were held during the Special Eye Screening camp. It was informed that Eye Screening checkups were also held in all Health Institutions of the district including CHCs, PHCs and H&WCs in which eye checkup of large number of people were carried out.
