SRINAGAR: Janata Dal (United) Jammu & Kashmir President Mr. G.M. Shaheen has hailed the visionary governance of Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha Ji, describing his administration’s initiatives as a turning point in the empowerment of women, youth, and marginalized communities across the Union Territory.
Shaheen said that under LG Sinha’s dynamic leadership, Jammu & Kashmir has witnessed a paradigm shift in social inclusion, rural empowerment, and youth development. He particularly praised the ‘Tejaswini’ Scheme, which has opened new horizons for women entrepreneurs, and the ‘Mumkin’ Scheme, which has created livelihood opportunities for the youth by supporting self-employment ventures.
“These schemes are not mere welfare projects — they are vehicles of transformation that have given hope, dignity, and self-reliance to thousands,” Shaheen asserted. “By recognizing the power of women and the potential of our young generation, the LG administration has laid the foundation of a self-sustained, equitable Jammu & Kashmir.”
He further highlighted the success of the ‘Back to Village’ programme, calling it a revolutionary step in grassroots governance. “This initiative has bridged the gap between the administration and the people, ensuring that governance is not confined to files and offices but reaches the last person in the last village,” Shaheen observed.
Lauding the LG’s consistent efforts to build trust and transparency among citizens, Shaheen stated that the current administration has restored public confidence through direct outreach, transparency, and a policy of accountability. “This new model of governance has revived people’s faith in the system, replacing alienation with participation and grievance with hope,” he added.
Expressing deep gratitude to the LG Administration, Shaheen said that JD(U) fully supports all initiatives that promote empowerment, equality, and inclusive growth. “Our party stands firmly behind every measure that uplifts women, nurtures youth, and strengthens the rural heart of Jammu & Kashmir,” he concluded.
