JAMMU: BJP Jammu and Kashmir spokesman Altaf Thakur on Monday hailed India’s emphatic seven-wicket victory over Pakistan in the Asia Cup, describing it as a “historic moment in cricket” and a “real surgical strike on the field.”

Thakur said the Indian team displayed sheer dominance and professionalism, dismantling Pakistan’s much-vaunted bowling attack with clinical precision. “This was not just a win, it was a message. Our boys executed a real surgical strike on the pitch—clean, decisive, and commanding. Pakistan collapsed like a pack of cards before the brilliance of our batting and spin magic,” he said.

The BJP leader added that the triumph symbolised the spirit of “New India—confident, fearless and determined to excel in every field.” He further noted that the victory carried the pride of 140 crore Indians. “Every Indian today feels proud to see the Tricolour soaring higher, as this magnificent victory is about more than cricket—it is about national pride and India’s growing stature,” Thakur remarked.
