SRINAGAR: As part of the nationwide observance of Vigilance Awareness Week–2025, J&K Police organized pledge-taking ceremonies in all the police establishments across the Kashmir valley. During these ceremonies, the participants took solemn oath to uphold the highest standards of honesty and ethical conduct in performing their duties and to work collectively towards building a corruption-free society.

At PCR Kashmir, the Pledge taking Ceremony was held in the Conference Hall, where Dr Showkat Ahmad-JKPS DySP PCR, administered the Integrity Pledge to officers and officials urging them to uphold honesty and ethical conduct in every sphere of duty.

In Shopian, pledge ceremony was observed in all Police establishments of District Shopian. The main pledge ceremony was held at DPL Shopian where SSP Shopian Shri Mushtaq Ahmad Choudhary-JKPS administered the oath to officers & jawans. In Pulwama the main pledge ceremony was held at District Police Lines Pulwama, where SSP Pulwama Ms. Tanushree-IPS administered the Integrity Pledge to officers and officials. Similarly, in Anantnag, the main function was held at the District Police Office (DPO) Anantnag, where Shri Kartik Shrotriya, IPS, Superintendent of Police (Headquarters) Anantnag, administered the Vigilance Pledge to the officers and officials of DPO Anantnag. Similar pledge ceremonies and awareness programmes were also held at all Police Stations and Police Posts across the district as part of the week-long observance.

In Kulgam, pledge ceremonies were organised in all police establishments of district Kulgam, where all officers and jawans took pledge for zero tolerance to corruption.  At District Police Headquarters Kulgam, DySP HQRS Kulgam Shri Nisar Ahmad-JKPS read out the pledge to the officers and jawans. In Awantipora, pledge taking ceremonies were organized across all police establishments of the district, where respective supervisory officers administered the pledge.

In Ganderbal, the main event was held at District Police Office (DPO) Ganderbal, where SSP Ganderbal Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal-JKPS administered the Integrity Pledge to police officers and jawans. Similar oath-taking ceremonies were conducted at all police stations and units within the district, marking the observance of Vigilance Awareness Week with enthusiasm and dedication. In Budgam, the Integrity Pledge ceremonies were conducted across all units including District Police Headquarters, District Police Lines, Police Stations and Police Posts.

In Sopore, pledge-taking ceremonies were conducted across all police establishments of the district. The event was also held at District Police Office (DPO) and District Police Lines (DPL) Sopore, where SSP Sopore led the ceremony and administered the Integrity Pledge to all officers and officials, urging them to uphold honesty and ethical conduct in every sphere of duty. In Bandipora, the main function was held at District Police Lines Bandipora, where SSP Bandipora, Shri Ajaz Ahmad Zargar (JKPS) administered the Integrity Pledge to officers and officials and took the salute at the parade. Similar ceremonies were also held at all police establishments across the district, including District Police Hqrs Bandipora and other offices.

In Baramulla, Integrity Pledge was administered across all police establishments of the district. At the District Police Headquarters (DPHQ) Baramulla, ADO DPHQ Sh. Ghulam Jeelani Tagoo administered the pledge to officers and jawans. Similarly, at the District Police Lines (DPL) Baramulla, DySP DAR Sh. Ajay Kumar Hans administered the Integrity Pledge to officers and jawans. In Handwara, Police organized a Pledge taking ceremony across all police establishments of Police District Handwara. The main function was held at District Police Lines Handwara under the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police, Handwara, Shri Sahil Sarangal, IPS, who administered the Integrity Pledge to officers and officials. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from police officers, jawans, and staff members from different units of the district.

The event concluded with a renewed sense of purpose among all officers and officials to serve the public with honesty, transparency, and dedication, thereby upholding the true spirit of responsible policing.
