SHOPIAN: As part of the observance of Police Commemoration Day, Police Flag Day, and Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, Police in Shopian organized a series of seminars on the theme “Role of Police in Nation Building” at Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School Shopian, Govt. High School Losedanew, and Govt. Higher Secondary School Heerpora.

At Government Boys Higher Secondary School Shopian, DySP Hqrs Shopian Shri Imtiyaz Ahmad–JKPS accompanied by SHO Shopian highlighted the crucial role of the Police in maintaining law and order, safeguarding national integrity and promoting peace, harmony and public trust - the key pillars of nation-building. At Government High School Losedanew, DySP PC Imamsahib Shri Faisal Hussain-JKAS accompanied by DySP Shri Mayank Khajuria-JKPS and SHO Imamsahib also interacted with students, emphasizing the pivotal role of the Police in fostering unity, discipline and community partnership for a stronger nation. Similarly, at Government Higher Secondary School Heerpora, Prob. DySP Talat Mehmood accompanied by SHO Heerpora spoke about the significance of Police in upholding the rule of law and ensuring the safety and security of citizens-the foundation for sustainable nation-building.

Students and faculty members participated enthusiastically, sharing insightful views on the responsibilities and challenges faced by the Police in strengthening democratic institutions and ensuring justice. At the conclusion of the events, participants were felicitated with certificates and mementoes for their commendable participation and thought-provoking contributions.

Police reaffirmed its commitment to engage with youth through such interactive platforms to promote awareness, responsibility and a deeper understanding of the role of law enforcement in building a safe, united and progressive nation.
