UDHAMPUR: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai visited Rathian area to participate in a plantation drive organized by the Horticulture Department Udhampur in presence of CHO Brij Vallabh Gupta. During the event, they planted a sapling to kick off the initiative.

This drive is part of the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” and “Ek Ped Shaheedon Ke Naam” campaign, which aim to honor the selfless sacrifices of martyrs and celebrate the invaluable contributions of mothers by planting trees.

Speaking at the event, the DC highlighted the significance of such initiatives in advancing environmental conservation and paying tribute to those who have made notable contributions to society. She appreciated the efforts of the Horticulture Department and encouraged citizens to actively engage in similar drives to foster a greener and cleaner Udhampur.
