BANDIPORA: One of the most popular women of Village Chitteybandy of North Kashmir's Bandipora district, Masoofa Begum, breathed her last after a prolonged illness on Thursday. She is survived by One son and daughter. She was 58. She lived her life as Queen and sacrifice her entire life in serving the poor and needy people. She was born Aragam village which is 05 kilometers far from main town of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Masoofa started her career at an earlier age and later she adjusted herself in Police department and still she was in service. She defied all odds to reach the zenith of popularity. At the height of her career, she even gave a tough competition to her male compatriots.
She is known in every nook and corner of her area in terms of giving alms to the poor and down troden people. Meanwhile MLA Bandipora Usman Majid while expressing grief over the loss for the whole area and he prayed for departed soul. Social, political and cultural organizations have also condoled the passing away of Masoofa.
She was the mother of great P.hD Scholar Ishfaq Ahmad (Prop. of London Boyz Garments) and was laid to rest at her ancestral graveyard at Aragam Bandipora. People from every corner of the district grief over the death of “Masoofa Begum” she will be remembered for a very long period of time for her contribution in every sector. Thousands of people on Monday participated in the nimazi jinaza of deceased and prayed for her departed soul.
