JAMMU: Seeking support from her home town, Sangeet Kour Sandhu, daughter of the soil, married at New Delhi has been chosen as one of the finalists for Haut Monde Mrs India Worldwide 2017 Season 7. Addressing media here, Sangeet Kour Sandhu said, “I am born and brought in Jammu and very well connected to my roots. It's a proud moment for me that I have been chosen as a finalist for Haut Monde Mrs India Worldwide 2017 Season 7. And I am here to request all the media and people of my state to support me in this journey of mine.”
Haut Monde Mrs India Worldwide has been organizing this contest since last 7 years. It's is special platform as it doesn't only include participation from within India but targets all the Indian women across the globe. In past participation was from South Africa, Australia, USA, Thailand etc. This year the total registration number was 8000 and out of which 1500 were called for auditions. So final the count has come up to 60 ladies - 57 contestants from India and 3 from overseas ( London, Canada n UAE)
Elaborating her journey towards this international title Sangeet said that she is married for last 3 and a half years and I am blessed with an eight-months old baby girl. “Post my pregnancy I was suffering from Post pregnancy blue depression as I was home arrest for almost one long year. So I came across this pageant and my husband and family pushed me and encouraged me to go ahead with it. And now with all their support and love I not just handled depression but also reached such a huge platform,” added Sangeet.
On July 27th she will be traveling to Vietnam for grooming and folio shooting on Aug 5th is the finale. “I really want Jammu people, my people to come forward and support me by liking , sharing and comment on my official page on Facebook , instagram and twitter. Whether I win or lose , something that will always be there and that is the experience and learnings from this journey. My message to all the married women out there - don't let your dreams die. What if u r married or have kids . If you are determined than nothing can stop you . If I can go for it with my 8 months old baby and when I started this journey at that time she was just 4 months old. She is even travelling to Vietnam with me if I can do this than all the women can do it. Message to the parents please support ur daughters n ur daughter in laws too.
