- Camp witness impressive turnout, 60 pints collected
BUDGAM: Tehsil Legal Services Committee (TLSC) Chadoora under the aegis of J&K Legal Services Authority today organized a ‘Blood Donation Camp’ at Tehsil premises Chadoora. The event was held under the directions and guidance of Khalil Ahmad Chowdhary, Chairman District Legal Services Authority Budgam and under the chairmanship of Mir Wajahat, Chairman TLSC Chadoora and 313 Blood Donors Volunteers Trust Kashmir in collaboration with Sub-District Hospital Chadoora, garnering overwhelming support from the local community.
The main aim of the programme was to educate the public about the importance of blood donation, its lifesaving impact, and dispelling myths or misconceptions surrounding the donation process and providing individuals with an opportunity to contribute to the well-being of others, empowering them to make a tangible difference in their community.
Qualified medical professionals from Sub-District Hospital Chadoora supervised the donation process, ensuring the highest standards of safety and hygiene. Donors were guided through each step of the process, from registration to post-donation care, with utmost care and professionalism.
The event witnessed the first donation from Mir Wajahat Chairman TLSC Chadoora/Sub-Judge Chadoora. Additionally several Bar Members and locals also participated and donated their share. Donors, volunteers and attendees were awarded certificates of appreciation for their valuable contribution by Chairman TLSC Chadoora.
The event saw a remarkable turnout of around 60 points, with individuals from all walks of life coming forward to donate blood. Their generosity and compassion exemplify the spirit of community solidarity and support during times of need, helping to alleviate shortage of blood supply in hospitals and healthcare facilities to a certain extent.
