JAMMU: BJP Jammu & Kashmir Media Incharge Dr. Pardeep Mahotra has said that the recent security breakthroughs across the country once again expose the sinister networks working against India and the coordinated attempts by vested interests to twist the narrative for political gains.

Dr. Pardeep Mahotra said that while the Modi government has tightened the noose around terrorism in all its forms, certain forces, both inside and outside the digital domain are desperately trying to exploit every situation to mislead citizens, weaken institutions, and sow seeds of distrust for their own opportunistic agendas.

Dr. Pardeep said that the arrests of doctors, engineers, researchers and other highly trained professionals in several states clearly show that terror recruitment among educated individuals is a grave reality. He noted that this is not new globally—educated radical elements have caused large-scale destruction across continents. Our society places immense trust in noble professions like medicine, engineering and academia. When individuals from such fields betray that trust, it shakes public confidence and risks discouraging aspiring youth from entering these professions, he said.

Launching a sharp attack on mischievous elements and political opportunists, Dr. Pardeep said that instead of condemning terrorism, some digital influencers and political parties immediately communalise the issue and defend suspects under the guise of victimhood. These propaganda factories deliberately target our security agencies, questioning every action, weakening morale and obstructing swift operations that could save innocent lives, he said.

He warned that such narrative manipulation emboldens radical elements, confuses young minds, and directly undermines India’s fight against terrorism. Dr. Pardeep Mahotra highlighted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s strong and decisive leadership since 2014, India has seen a consistent decline in terror incidents, with this year recording among the lowest terror-related activities in over a decade. He credited strengthened intelligence, improved border security, dismantling of financial networks, and zero tolerance against terrorism as key achievements.

Strongly contrasting this with earlier governments, he said, “Congress at the Centre and NC-PDP in J&K failed miserably. Their appeasement politics, poor governance and divisive rhetoric alienated citizens and allowed terror forces to flourish. Their era added fuel to the fire.” He also urged citizens to remain alert, reject propaganda, and stand firmly behind India’s security forces.
