JAMMU: The Department of Lifelong Learning, University of Jammu organized an interactive session on Personality development and Leadership skills for the students of Masters of Rural Studies in the seminar hall of the Department here today.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Priyanka Sharma, Director, Department of Lifelong Learning, University of Jammu. While introducing the guest she elaborated the extensive experience of the resource person in the field. She also gave an overview of value added programmes being offered by the Department of Lifelong Learning which aims at enhancing employability skills of the youth.
The special resource person was Dr. Rashmi Singh Roy, Associate Professor, Atria Institute of Technology, Bangalore. She is a certified service culture trainer and having around 15 years of cross-functional experience in the field of Academics, Human resource Management, Learning and development and general administration.
Dr.Rashmi Singh Roy, in her presentation, apprised the students that Personality development skills are the specific qualities and abilities that enable the students to grow both personally and professionally. These skills can increase the potential of the students and help them to navigate difficult situations and achieve career goals. She also explained that Leadership skills are the abilities and strengths that help guide and motivate a group of people to achieve a common goal. She also gave insight of the factors that boost their confidence.
The faculty members present were Dr. Vivek Sharma, Associate Professor, Dr. Pallavi Sachdeva, Assistant Professor and Dr. Rewa Khajuria, Counsellor, EIAB along with the students of both the semesters.
