‎‎SUNDERBANI: As part of the ongoing Special 100-Day Campaign under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, a Mega Awareness Camp was organized today at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Sunderbani, under the supervision of the Additional Deputy Commissioner Ramkesh Sharma.

‎‎The programme was aimed at generating widespread awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promoting a drug-free society. The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 300 individuals including frontline workers, drivers, members of civil society, students and representatives from various departments.

‎‎The participants were sensitized about the social, economic and health-related consequences of substance abuse. They were encouraged to act as community ambassadors to further disseminate awareness messages among the general public.

‎‎A series of awareness activities were held during the camp, including a captivating Nukkad Natak highlighting the dangers of drug addiction, a pledge ceremony wherein participants resolved to contribute towards a drug-free society and informative speeches delivered by officers from the Medical Department, Police Department and Civil Administration.

‎‎The speakers emphasized the importance of collective community action, early intervention and awareness in combating the menace of drug abuse. They also highlighted various government initiatives and support mechanisms available for prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of individuals affected by substance abuse.

‎‎The programme concluded with a strong call for sustained public participation in the fight against drugs and reaffirmed the commitment of the administration towards making the region drug-free under the 100 Days Nasha Mukt JK campaign.
