KATRA: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) has achieved another milestone as NCC SUO Cadet Dhruv has been selected to participate in the prestigious Youth Exchange Programme (YEP) in the United Kingdom. Cadet Dhruv earned this distinction after successfully clearing a series of rigorous selection tests conducted at various levels. He is among only ten NCC cadets selected from across India for this prestigious international programme.
During the Youth Exchange Programme, SUO Cadet Dhruv will represent India in the United Kingdom and interact with cadets from five different countries. The programme is the longest-duration YEP conducted by NCC and includes training activities, cultural exchanges, and visits to three countries. One of the highlights of the programme will be a formal dinner at the historic and prestigious Woolwich Barracks in the United Kingdom.
Lieut.(Dr.) Varun Dutta, NCC Coordinator, SMVDU, stated that SUO Dhruv's selection is the result of his consistent hard work, dedication, and commitment to NCC activities. He added that such international programmes provide an excellent platform for cadets to develop and showcase leadership qualities, cultural awareness, and a spirit of global cooperation.
