SHOPIAN: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Shopian today organized a Special Lok Adalat at the District Court Complex Shopian for the amicable settlement of pending cases. For the Special Lok Adalat, one Bench was constituted, which was presided over by Mohd Waseem Mirza, Munsiff/JMIC Shopian, along with Advocate Mohd Shahid Khan.
During the proceedings, a total of 32 cases were taken up for consideration, out of which 15 cases were settled amicably. An amount of Rs 2,48,500 was awarded as settlement in the resolved cases. Advocates, litigants and other prominent citizens actively participated in the Lok Adalat proceedings.
