JAMMU: Dogri Sanstha Jammu organized a condolence meeting at the Kunwar Viyogi Memorial Auditorium, Dogri Bhavan, Karan Nagar, Jammu, to pay heartfelt tributes to Shri Govardhan Singh Jamwal, Chairman of Kunwar Viyogi Memorial Trust and a distinguished patron of Dogri language, literature, and culture. The gathering was attended by members of Dogri Sanstha Jammu, eminent literary figures, cultural activists, friends, and admirers who paid rich tributes to the departed soul and prayed for his eternal peace.
Paying homage to Shri Jamwal, Padma Shri Prof. Lalit Magotra, President, Dogri Sanstha Jammu, described his demise as a great loss to the cultural and literary fraternity of Jammu and Kashmir. He said, "The passing away of Shri Govardhan Singh Jamwal is an irreparable loss not only to the Dogri cultural community but also to the larger literary and social landscape of Jammu and Kashmir.
He was a committed patron of Dogri language, literature, and cultural values, and his unwavering support to institutions working for the promotion of our rich heritage will always be remembered. His dedication, humility, and vision inspired generations. On behalf of Dogri Sanstha Jammu, I offer my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and pray for eternal peace to the noble soul. He further added that when Sanstha was facing paucity of funds, he came forward and donated Rs 20.00 lakhs for completion of Kunwar Viyogi Auditorium."
