RAMBAN: Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan today chaired a meeting of Common Service Centre Operators and Village Level Entrepreneurs to review the progress of registrations under Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana. He directed for maximum coverage of the eligible persons in the district. The meeting was attended by Assistant Labour Commissioner Amit Kumar, District Coordinator CSCs and other concerned officers.

Emphasizing the significance of PM-SYM, the Deputy Commissioner said the scheme is aimed at ensuring social security and old-age protection for unorganized sector workers. He directed the CSC Operators and VLEs to conduct door-to-door campaigns and ensure 100% registration of eligible workers, including street vendors, construction workers, agricultural labourers and other unorganized workers in the age group of 18-40 years.

He instructed the Assistant Labour Commissioner to assign targets to each CSC Operator in coordination with concerned departments and to establish a robust monitoring mechanism to track daily progress. VLEs were asked to provide handholding support to beneficiaries for registration and timely payment of contributions.

The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed registrations under other key welfare schemes and directed CSCs to ensure maximum coverage under PMJAY-SEHAT, Samadhan Application, Ayushman Bharat Golden Cards, PM-KISAN, e-Shram and social security pension schemes.
