KUPWARA: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Shrikant Suse, Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR), Kupwara, Peerzada Mumtaz Ahmad visited Machill Division and undertook a series of developmental and awareness activities aimed at promoting environmental conservation and reviewing ongoing administrative initiatives in the area.
As part of the observance, the ACR inaugurated and participated in a plantation drive at Tehsil Headquarters Machill, emphasizing the importance of afforestation and environmental protection. The initiative witnessed active participation from local officials, staff members, and community representatives.
An awareness programmes was also conducted at Higher Secondary School, Duddi, (HSS) Ring Bala and Army Goodwill School (AGS) Chontiwari. During the programmes, students and staff were sensitized about environmental conservation, sustainable practices, and the significance of collective efforts in preserving natural resources for future generations.
Later, the ACR chaired a review meeting at the Mini Secretariat, Machill, with officers from various departments of the Macchil division. The meeting focused on assessing the progress of ongoing developmental works, addressing public service delivery issues, and ensuring effective implementation of government schemes in the block.
