SRINAGAR: As part of the ongoing 100-Day Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, a free Mega AYUSH Medical Aid Camp was organized at Burzhama, Hazratbal, in collaboration with AIMIL Pharmaceuticals to promote preventive healthcare and healthy lifestyle practices among the public.
The camp was conducted under the supervision of District AYUSH Officer (DAO) Srinagar, Dr. Mushtaq Payer, and In-charge Medical Officer, AHWC Phak, Dr. Sabia Kawoosa, along with other AYUSH staff members including Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed, Dr. Aneela Yaseen, Mohd Maqbool, Senior Pharmacist, Gousia Tanzeela, and the team from AIMIL Pharmaceuticals, who actively contributed to the successful conduct of the programme.
Dr. Mushtaq Payer and Dr. Ruhail also visited the camp and reviewed the arrangements and functioning of the event. During the camp, free blood sugar and thyroid screening services were provided to the general public. In addition, health education sessions were conducted focusing on healthy lifestyle practices, balanced diet, physical activity, stress management, sleep hygiene, and prevention of substance abuse and addiction.
The camp witnessed an overwhelming response from the local population, with around 300 patients availing the medical and screening services. Participants appreciated the initiative, which helped raise awareness about preventive healthcare, holistic wellness, and the importance of leading a healthy and addiction-free life.
