SRINAGAR: To curb the menace of illegal mining, Police in Handwara have seized 06 vehicles (01 Tipper, 05 Tractors) involved in extraction & transportation of minerals from Mawer Nallah and other Nallahs. Accordingly, cases under relevant sections of law have been registered at Police Station Handwara and investigations have been initiated.
People are requested to come forward or Dial-112 regarding any information about illegal extraction of minerals. Police warns stringent action as per law against those whosoever found involved in such activities.
