GANDERBAL|SONAMARG: After the media and public outcry the Enforcement wing of Sonamarg Development Authority (SDA) Saturday launched second demolition operation at Sonamarg of Central Kashmir Ganderbal. The drive has been simultaneously launched by a joint team of officers and Enforcement wing of SDA and demolished dozens of illegal construction here in scenic beauty resort of Sonamarg in this central Kashmir district which according to them were raised in violation of the rules' the drive was initiated after a massive public and media outcry over the illegal construction being raised on forest land of Sonamarg thus vandalizing its beauty". SDA officials said".
The drive would continue here in beautiful tourist resort that falls under SDA' if the violators fail to remove the illegal structures, that have come up in violation of the Master Plan, on their own. “We won’t allow any violation of the Master Plan to maintain distinct and historic characteristics of the Sonamarg,” they said". According to JK Monitor news network" SDA send a “strong signal to the hotel owners that nobody should be allowed to go for any construction work without proper permission.”
