SRINAGAR: District Tuberculosis Control Society Srinagar in collaboration with Health Department today organized a function at Law College today. On the occasion, various speakers delivered lectures, generating awareness among the participants. It was informed that earlier TB was a deadly disease and was not curable but by now the disease is completely curable and free medicare, diagnostic facilities and medicines are available at every health institute of the state. The speakers also stressed for initiating vigorous awareness campaign in the valley especially in far off and hilly areas. Moreover, they also stressed for organizing awareness camps in colleges, schools and Anganwari centres so that patients suffering from this ailment could get benefited from this awareness.
