KATHUA: As a part of National Rural Drinking Water and Sanitation Awareness Week, a rally was organised at Kathua. The Rally was flagged off by Member Secretary DWSM (SE Hydraulic Circle Kathua) XEN PHE Kathua. The Rally which was organised by “Communication & Capacity Development Unit” Department of PHE I&FC (CCDU) started from PWD Complex and culminated at Ram Leela Ground Kathua.
The students of Government Boys Higher Secondary School Kathua, Anganwari Worker and PHE staff participated with placards, Banners and slogans writing pertaining to “Save Water & Sanitation”. The objective of the programme was to spread awareness among the general masses regarding “Save Drinking Water & Sanitation”. The representative of CCDU Kathua highlighted the importance of personnel hygiene and ways to control the water born diseases.
