JAMMU: On 15/05/2024, a Branch Postmaster’s meet was organized by Rajouri Postal Division at Conference Hall Dak Banglow Nowhsera. Branch Postmasters of Nowshera Sub Division participated in the meet. Col Vinod Kumar Postmaster General Jammu Region graced the meet as Chief Guest while as Sardar Bachitar Singh Principal Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School was the guest of Honour. Interactive Session was organized in which Branch Postmasters shared experiences and best practices being employed by them for providing comprehensive and cutting edge postal services in this border area.
Col Vinod Kumar PMG Jammu Region motivated and encouraged the BPMs by sharing various success stories of DoP of which he has been the part and parcel, including the one’s Sukanya Samridhi accounts of girl children of few minutes of age. Awards were also distributed amongst best performers in various fields of the Department in recognition of the excellent services rendered by them during the financial year 2023-2024. Smt. Usha Rani BPM Bharore was awarded for her top performance in POSB sector, Smt. Kushma Devi was adjudged as Top PLI/RPLI performer, CELC ka Sikanadar award was given to Sh. Aprajit Kumar BPM Prat, Young Achiever- Kayakalp award was given to Sh. Ajay Singh BPM Dhar. Life time achievement award was given to Sh. Om Prakash retired BPM Garan. Sh. Roshan Lal BPM Seher was given special achievement award and Sh. Sunil Raina BPM Bajwal was at adjudged as Best BPM.
Sh. Anshuman Tripathi Manager IPPB Rajouri also enlightened the participants about cyber fraud and ways and means to prevent the same. The participants were advised to adopt various precautions to safe guard against like cyber frauds, scams like not sharing OTP with any unauthorized person, not downloading any unauthorized application or link on their mobile phones and computer not responding calls asking for personal or financial details
Col Vinod PMG Jammu stressed upon the participants to adopt these safeguards scrupulously and also make it a mission to aware the public in their areas about such scams and ways to prevent them. PMG Jammu also stressed that IndiaPost was committed not only to financial inclusion but also to financial literacy.
Principal Govts Boys Higher Secondary School welcomed such interactive session being undertaken by DoP and also suggested that such events be also organized at various education institutes so that young generation is educated regarding vrious products and services of DoP. Syed Roouf Ahmad SDI Nowshera presented the welcome address and vote of thanks on the event.
