JAMMU: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Mahila Morcha organized a special program to celebrate Bihar Diwas in Ward No. 50, Channi Himmat, with the aim of fostering cultural exchange and national unity. The event was organized and presided over by BJP Mahila Morcha State Vice President and Former Corporator Neena Gupta, while BJP Mahila Morcha J&K State President Sanjita Dogra graced the occasion as the Chief Guest along with BJP J&K IT Incharge Adv Ishant Gupta attended as the Guest of Honour.
Speaking on the occasion, BJP leaders emphasized the importance of unity and strengthening bonds between people from different states. They highlighted how such initiatives contribute to the spirit of âEk Bharat, Shreshtha Bharatâ, reinforcing national integration and cultural harmony.
Sanjita Dogra, in her address, underscored the contributions of Bihar, particularly its women, to the state's progress. She stated that Bihar Diwas is being celebrated across the country under the BJPâs vision of national unity and cultural pride. "The rich culture and glorious history of Bihar deserve recognition. The state has given India great personalities like Chanakya, Aryabhatta, and Guru Gobind Singh Ji, whose contributions will always be remembered. Bihar is not just a state; it is a land of knowledge and culture, excelling in education, politics, and various fields. Under BJPâs leadership, Bihar is progressing towards self-reliance and development," she said.
Neena Gupta encouraged people to celebrate Bihar Diwas not only in their workplace but also in their birth states, ensuring they remain connected to their cultural roots. She stressed that such cultural celebrations foster deeper understanding and unity among different regions of India. She further highlighted how BJPâs governance is creating better opportunities for women in all sectors.
Advocate Ishant Gupta, addressing the gathering, spoke about the significance of Bihar Diwas as a symbol of national integration. "Celebrating the traditions of different states in Jammu & Kashmir reinforces the idea of âEk Bharat, Shreshtha Bharatâ and showcases Indiaâs incredible diversity. These cultural programs strengthen the bond between communities and highlight the importance of unity in diversity," he remarked.
Adding to the cultural fervour, women from Bihar presented patriotic and devotional songs, filling the atmosphere with a sense of pride and devotion. Their performances symbolized the deep cultural ties between Bihar and Jammu & Kashmir, making the event even more meaningful.
Other prominent speakers at the event included Poonam Gupta, Geetanjali, Anita Gandotra, and Kamlesh Mangotra who shared their insights on Biharâs historical and cultural significance. The event also saw the presence of Suman Raina, Monika Khosla, Indu Wazir, Santosh, Usha Rajput, Bharti Gupta, Sunita and several other dignitaries.
