  • State-Level EoI Announced to Promote Responsible Integration of AI in Universities Under NEP 2020 

NEW DELHI: The Centre for NaMo Studies (CNMS) has invited Expressions of Interest (EoI) from State Universities across Uttar Pradesh for hosting a series of State-Level Conferences on the theme “Strategic Integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Higher Education: Opportunities, Challenges and Implications.” 

According to Prof. Jasim Mohammad, Chairman, Centre for NaMo Studies (CNMS), the proposed conference series will focus on important areas such as AI-driven teaching and learning practices, curriculum innovation, development of future-ready skills, research and innovation, institutional governance, data-based decision-making, and ethical considerations related to the use of Artificial Intelligence.

The conferences will be organized across the North, South, East, and West zones of Uttar Pradesh, followed by a National-Level Conference. The programmes are expected to bring together Vice Chancellors, academicians, researchers, policymakers, industry representatives, and education leaders to exchange ideas, share successful practices, and develop practical recommendations for integrating AI into higher education institutions.

He said, to support the initiative, CNMS will provide financial assistance of ₹1,00,000 to each university selected for hosting a zonal conference and ₹1,50,000 for the National-Level Conference, wherever applicable.

Prof. Jasim Mohammad, Chairman, Centre for NaMo Studies (CNMS), said that the initiative is aimed at developing a collaborative network of universities that are ready to explore the opportunities of Artificial Intelligence while addressing its challenges responsibly.

Selected universities will collaborate with the Centre for NaMo Studies in organizing the conferences, coordinating academic sessions, ensuring participation of key stakeholders, managing event arrangements, and preparing detailed reports containing outcomes and recommendations.

Prof. Divya Tanwar Co Coordinator EoI Programme said, Interested State Universities have been requested to submit their Expression of Interest by 30 July 2026. The proposal should include the preferred zone, two suitable conference dates, details of institutional facilities and preparedness, previous experience in organizing academic programmes, and information about the nominated Nodal or Coordinating Officer. Applications may be submitted through email at namostudies@gmail.com 

She added that host universities will be selected based on their academic strength, organizational capacity, regional representation, and commitment to the objectives of the Centre for NaMo Studies.
