JAMMU: BJP Jammu & Kashmir State Secretary Pawan Sharma today extended a warm welcome to devotees from across the country and abroad arriving for the sacred Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026, and conveyed his heartfelt wishes for a safe, peaceful, and spiritually enriching pilgrimage.
In a statement issued here, Sharma said that the annual Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra is not merely a religious pilgrimage but a profound symbol of faith, devotion, national unity, and India's rich spiritual heritage. Every year, lakhs of devotees undertake the challenging journey to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva, demonstrating unwavering faith and dedication.
Welcoming the pilgrims to Jammu & Kashmir, Sharma said that the people of the Union Territory are honored to host devotees visiting the holy cave shrine and are committed to extending traditional hospitality and support throughout the pilgrimage period.
"The Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra represents the enduring spiritual strength of Sanatan culture and serves as a powerful reminder of our civilizational values rooted in faith, sacrifice, and devotion. I warmly welcome all pilgrims and pray that Baba Amarnath blesses them with good health, happiness, prosperity, and spiritual fulfillment," Sharma said.
He appreciated the efforts of the administration, security forces, disaster response teams, healthcare workers, sanitation staff, volunteers, and various service organizations who work tirelessly to ensure the smooth conduct of the Yatra. Sharma noted that extensive arrangements have been made to facilitate the comfort, safety, and convenience of devotees.
Sharma also lauded the commitment of the security agencies in maintaining a secure environment for pilgrims and ensuring that the Yatra proceeds peacefully.
