JAMMU: BJP Jammu & Kashmir State Secretary Pawan Sharma today strongly criticized the Congress party for what he described as its growing disconnect from the aspirations of the people and its continued dependence on dynastic politics and political opportunism.
Sharma said Congress has abandoned its ideological roots and constructive role in democracy, choosing instead to engage in negative politics, misinformation, and obstruction. He asserted that the party has failed to offer a credible vision for India's future and remains trapped in outdated political thinking.
"Congress today is driven more by personal ambitions and power politics than public service. Its repeated electoral setbacks reflect the people's rejection of its politics of entitlement and opportunism," Sharma said.
Contrasting Congress with the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Sharma said India has witnessed unprecedented transformation under Modi's decisive and visionary governance. He highlighted significant progress in infrastructure, digital empowerment, economic reforms, social welfare, national security, and global diplomacy.
"Prime Minister Modi has redefined governance through transparency, accountability, and development-focused leadership. His commitment to nation-building has strengthened India's global stature and improved the lives of millions," he said.
Sharma added that while Congress remains focused on political survival, Prime Minister Modi continues to work tirelessly towards the vision of Viksit Bharat-2047, empowering every section of society and accelerating India's growth journey.
"The choice before the nation is clear: a politics of opportunism and dynastic interests versus a leadership dedicated to development, good governance, and national progress. The people of India have repeatedly chosen performance, stability, and transformational leadership," Sharma stated.
Expressing confidence in India's future, Sharma said the country's march towards becoming a developed and globally influential nation will continue under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, driven by the trust and aspirations of its citizens.
