KUPWARA: Director General, Libraries, Mohammad Rafi, who is also the District Mentor for digitization of revenue records, today chaired a review meeting of concerned officers at the DC Office Complex, Kupwara, to assess the progress of digitization of land records being carried out under the Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP).
During the meeting, the Director General reviewed the status of digitization of land records, scanning of revenue documents, data verification and updation of cadastral maps across the district. He took a detailed appraisal of the progress achieved under the programme and sought updates from the concerned officers regarding the completion of various components of the digitization process.
Emphasizing the importance of maintaining accuracy and transparency, Mohammad Rafi directed the concerned officers to expedite the digitization process while ensuring strict adherence to the prescribed guidelines and quality standards. He stressed that timely completion of the exercise is essential for strengthening land governance and improving the delivery of public services through a modern, transparent and efficient land records management system.
ACR Kupwara, Peerzada Mumtaz Ahmad briefed the chair about the progress made so far, the issues being faced in implementation and the measures being taken to achieve the stipulated targets within the prescribed timeline.
The Director General urged all stakeholders to work in close coordination and ensure the successful implementation of the Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme in the district, enabling hassle-free and transparent access to land records for the public. The meeting was attended by ADC Kupwara, Gulzar Ahmad Khan, ACR Kupwara, SDM Karnah, Tehsildars, and other concerned officers.
