PULWAMA: Vice Chairman, Lakes Conservation and Management Authority (LCMA), Khurshid Ahmad Shah, who has been nominated as District Mentor for Pulwama to monitor the digitization of revenue records, today chaired a review meeting at the Circuit House, Pulwama, to assess the progress achieved under the Digitization of Land Records Programme.

The meeting was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Tehsildars and other concerned Revenue officers of the district.

During the meeting, the Vice Chairman conducted a detailed review of the progress made in digitization of revenue records and emphasized the need for timely completion of the process while ensuring accuracy, transparency and strict adherence to the prescribed standards.

He directed the concerned officers to complete all pending digitization work within the stipulated timelines and instructed them to follow the prescribed standards, formats and protocols while digitizing revenue records.

Stressing the importance of quality assurance, Khurshid Ahmad Shah called for regular verification and quality checks of digitized records to eliminate discrepancies. He also directed the officers to resolve field-level issues on priority and immediately report unresolved matters to the Revenue Department for timely intervention.

The Vice Chairman underscored the need for close coordination among all Revenue officers to ensure seamless implementation of the programme. He also emphasized regular monitoring at the tehsil level and accountability at every stage to achieve the objectives of the Digitization of Land Records Programme in an efficient and time-bound manner.

Speaking on the occasion, Khurshid Ahmad Shah said that the digitization of land records is a key governance initiative aimed at enhancing transparency, ensuring easy access to land records, minimizing disputes and improving public service delivery.
