UDHAMPUR: Additional Deputy Commissioner Prem Singh convened a meeting of officers from various departments to discuss arrangements for the upcoming Devsthan Jadsarkot Mela 2026, including security, sanitation, healthcare, transport, traffic management, drinking water, power supply and installation of departmental stalls.
The ADC directed all district officers to coordinate in finalising arrangements well before the mela and urged local mela committee members to support its conduct, noting that public participation is important for promoting tourism and the local economy.
Executive Engineer PHE was asked to ensure adequate drinking water supply at the mela site, Executive Engineer PDD was directed to provide uninterrupted power supply during the mela and the Chief Medical Officer was directed to deploy a team of doctors to provide first aid facilities. The Police Department will deploy adequate security personnel during the mela. The ADC also asked officers to set up departmental stalls to generate awareness about government schemes.
