DODA: A District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) monitoring team, under the guidance of Principal Rajesh Kumar, conducted monitoring visits to educational institutions across Bhalla and Bhaderwah zones yesterday.

The team visited High School Seri in Bhalla zone, Primary School Balote in Bhaderwah zone and several other schools to assess academic performance, evaluate the use of Teaching-Learning Material (TLM) and review implementation of the Vidya Pravesh Module, with special emphasis on the use of Jadui Pitara in Foundational Stage classrooms to promote activity-based learning.

The team observed classroom transactions, interacted with students and teaching staff and assessed the teaching-learning environment. Academic standards and classroom practices in most schools were found satisfactory.

At Primary School Balote in Bhaderwah zone, however, the team noted that the school is functioning with only one classroom, leading to accommodation constraints that could affect the learning environment. The issue has been flagged for immediate attention to ensure adequate and safe infrastructure for students.

The monitoring exercise is part of DIET Doda's ongoing efforts to strengthen foundational learning and improve the quality of education in the district.
