DODA: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda Krishan Lal today reviewed implementation and progress of the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana at the VC room, DC Office Doda.

The DDC reviewed the status of consumer registrations on the PM Surya Ghar portal, rooftop solar installations, inspection of installed systems, subsidy disbursement, loan applications sanctioned and disbursed and the number of empanelled vendors registered on the portal. He assessed feeder-wise progress of the scheme and directed the officers concerned to ensure regular monitoring for timely achievement of targets.

Reviewing the pace of execution, the DDC sought per-day installation data of smart meters and assessed the status of smart meter installation across the district, including government office buildings. He also reviewed progress of works under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) and directed the agencies concerned to expedite pole installation and other infrastructure works to strengthen the power distribution network.

The DDC directed that strict action be initiated against vendors responsible for delays in executing sanctioned works and said all empanelled vendors must adhere to prescribed timelines and maintain quality standards. He directed the officers concerned to expedite execution of ongoing works and ensure close monitoring of projects at every stage and instructed implementing agencies and other stakeholders to augment manpower in all divisions wherever required to achieve targets within the stipulated timeframe.

The DDC urged field functionaries to encourage eligible households to register on the PM Surya Ghar portal and avail the benefits of the scheme and said effective coordination among stakeholders is essential for successful implementation of the programme.

The officers informed the chair about progress achieved so far, including consumer outreach, vendor coordination, timely processing of applications, regular inspection of rooftop solar installations, continuous monitoring and resolution of operational bottlenecks.

Among those present were ACR Doda Ashraf Parvaiz, AD Planning Doda Kishore Kumar and the executive engineers concerned, along with stakeholders from RDSS, Genesis, JK Bank and other officials concerned.
