ANANTNAG,: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Anantnag, Vikas Ahlawat, accompanied by DSEO, Accounts Officer and other members of the district concurrent audit team and departmental representatives, on Wednesday conducted an inspection of several languishing development works across the district.
The inspection aimed to verify physical progress, accounts and paperwork, and to ensure transparency and accountability. The inspection covered drainage works at Mattan and check works at Isherdass, among other sites. Officials physically verified the executed works and interacted with local residents to record their grievances, which included water shortages and problems with existing drainage systems.
Where deficiencies were identified, the visiting team directed concerned PHE and other department officials to resolve the issues promptly. The ADDC emphasized timely corrective action and compliance with financial and technical documentation.
