DODA: Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh today led a pledge ceremony at the DC Office Complex Doda to mark World Water Day. The event witnessed the participation of officers and officials from the PHE Department, Agriculture Department and other concerned government departments. The theme for this year’s World Water Day was “Glacier Preservation” while the theme for water conservation under Jal Shakti Abhiyan was “Catch the Rain Where It Falls When It Falls.” Both themes highlighted the critical need for sustainable water management and conservation efforts.

The pledge was administered in English and Hindi reaffirming the district administration's commitment to water preservation. The DC urged all concerned officers and departments to take proactive measures for rainwater harvesting groundwater recharge and efficient water management practices.
