JAMMU: On the directions of Director Handicrafts the enforcement wing of quality control division under the supervision of Deputy Director Quality Control conducted an on-the-spot inspection of Handicrafts establishments at Jammu. During the inspection, some dealers were found indulging with unlawful activities and the officers imposed a fine to the tune of Rs. 10,800 on-the-spot on them. The dealers were also warned not to indulge in such type of practices in future otherwise stern action will be taken against them under the purview of Tourist Trade Act-1978 (82).
