BUDGAM: The District Development Commissioner Budgam, Mr. Mir Altaf Ahmad convened a meeting of officers of Revenue department here today and reviewed the measures taken for rehabilitation of flood victims of Budgam district. The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Sub Divisional Magistrates of Khansahib, Beerwah, Chadoora and all Tehsildars of the district.

 

It was disclosed that 857 houses were fully damaged while as 3406 houses severely damaged and 9661 houses were partially damaged due to floods, besides 2530 structures were completely damaged which include 24 Kacha houses and 2052 cow sheds.

 

It was also revealed in the meeting that an amount of Rs. 14.87 crores were provided to the flood victims in the district and an amount of Rs. 65.88 lakh were provided as rent charges among the flood victims in the district. The District Development Commissioner stressed upon the concerned officers to speed up the disposal of the cases so that flood sufferers get instant help.
