UDHAMPUR: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Udhampur, Jugal Kishore today chaired a review meeting with officers of the Health Department to assess the progress under the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. At the outset, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Anil Manhas gave a detailed presentation on the districtâs performance under the campaign.
The ADDC assessed the status of TB testing, treatment success rates and registration of Ni-Kshay Mitras. He directed the Health Department to expand TB testing, strengthen diagnostic facilities and ensure timely identification and treatment of TB patients.
Emphasizing the importance of early detection, the ADDC called for enhanced counselling services and greater involvement of frontline health workers in identifying suspected cases and ensuring uninterrupted treatment and follow-up.
He also stressed the need to intensify awareness campaigns at the grassroots level, encourage active community participation and strengthen inter-departmental coordination to achieve 100% TB screening coverage across the district.
