JAMMU: The Student Welfare Committee, Government College for Women (GCW), Parade Ground today celebrated Teachers' Day with great enthusiasm and reverence. The programme was organized to honor the dedication, commitment and invaluable contribution of teachers in shaping the future of students and society.
The celebration commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Principal of the college Dr. Naveen Anand, faculty members and members of the Student Welfare Committee.
A melodious Saraswati Vandana presented by the students followed the lamp-lighting ceremony. The students expressed heartfelt appreciation for the guidance, encouragement and unwavering support provided by their teachers.
Addressing the gathering, the College Principal emphasized the pivotal role of teachers in nation-building and encouraged students to imbibe the values of dedication, discipline and lifelong learning. He appreciated Dean Student Welfare, Dr Seema Malpotra and committee members for organising the event.
