UDHAMPUR: Under the guidance of the Chairperson, Kalpana Revo, (Principal District & Sessions Judge, Udhampur) and under the overall supervision of the Secretary Sumati Sharma, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Udhampur, today organized a programme to commemorate Teachers’ Day.

The programme was held at Indira Memorial Higher Secondary School, Rathian. The event commenced with a lamp-lighting ceremony before the portrait of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the first Vice-President and second President of India, whose birth anniversary is observed as Teacher’s Day.

Panel Lawyer Adv. Sanjeet Kumar Bavouria was the resource person for the programme. He sensitized the students to the importance of Teachers’ Day and highlighted the invaluable role played by teachers in shaping the character, knowledge and future of students. He also emphasized the significance of discipline, respect, dedication and the pursuit of knowledge in the lives of young people.

Secretary (Sub-Judge) DLSA Sumati Sharma also participated in the programme and shared her valuable views on the occasion. She appreciated the contribution of teachers to society and encouraged the students to respect their teachers, follow their guidance and work diligently to achieve their goals.

Para-Legal Volunteers Anuj Gupta and Rakesh assisted in the smooth conduct of the event. The programme concluded with an expression of gratitude to the school authorities, teachers, students and all other participants for their cooperation and active involvement.
