• Says district administration committed to robust development of far flung areas

BUDGAM: Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Athar Aamir Khan, today chaired a Block Diwas programme at the Block Headquarters Khag to take stock of public issues, demands and progress of developmental works.

During the programme, locals of Khag Block and adjoining villages raised various demands  related to road, power, drinking water, healthcare improvements  and sports infrastructure development in the area.

The Deputy Commissioner gave a patient hearing to the people and directed the concerned officers to address the issues raised on priority and ensure time-bound redressal of genuine grievances.

The public also projected the need for playfields in far-flung areas of Khag. The Deputy Commissioner said that the District Administration is committed to establishing playfields in far-flung areas of the block to provide better sports facilities and opportunities to local youth. He said that the District  Administration is committed to robust development of far flung areas and ensure equitable development of people living in remote areas.

He stressed upon officers to maintain close coordination, expedite ongoing developmental works and ensure effective implementation of government schemes for the benefit of the people. Senior district and sectoral officers accompanied the Deputy Commissioner during the programme and listened to the public issues for necessary action.
