UDHAMPUR: For the smooth and successful conduct of the Devika Half Marathon, scheduled on September 13, 2026, Additional Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Prem Singh today convened a meeting of officers from the line departments to review and finalize the arrangements.

Threadbare discussions were held on arrangements for security, sanitation, healthcare, traffic management, drinking water supply and route management. The ADC emphasized the importance of seamless coordination and close collaboration among the concerned departments to ensure that all necessary arrangements are finalized and put in place well in advance.

Executive Engineer Jal Shakti Department was directed to ensure adequate drinking water supply along the route, while CEO, Municipal Council was tasked with cleanliness and sanitation. The Chief Medical Officer was asked to deploy a team of doctors along with an ambulance to provide first aid and immediate medical assistance. District and Traffic Police were directed to deploy adequate personnel to ensure foolproof security and smooth regulation of traffic during the event.
