- ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyaan’ to be transformed into a Mass Public Service Campaign across J&K: Pawan Sharma
DODA: The ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyaan’, being organized from September 17 to October 17 to commemorate 25 years of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s public life, will be transformed into a mass public service campaign across Jammu & Kashmir, BJP State Secretary and prabhari Doda, Pawan Sharma said today.
Addressing a workshop in Doda to chalk out the organisational roadmap for the campaign, Pawan Sharma said the initiative is not merely an occasion to commemorate 25 years of Shri Narendra Modi’s public service journey, but an opportunity to take forward his core philosophy of ‘Seva Hi Sangathan’ and connect it with every section of society, particularly those at the grassroots.
He said the campaign will be taken down to the booth level and driven through active public participation, ensuring that the spirit of service translates into tangible benefits for people across Jammu & Kashmir.
“The success of Seva Sankalp Abhiyaan will not be measured by the number of programmes conducted, but by the number of lives positively impacted through our efforts,” Sharma said, calling upon BJP workers to make service the central focus of the month-long campaign.
He said a wide range of activities will be organised under the campaign, including Seva Setu camps, blood donation and health check-up camps, cleanliness and plantation drives, youth skill development and employment awareness programmes, women empowerment initiatives, service activities in border and rural areas, ‘Modi@25’ development exhibitions, and youth dialogues on Viksit Bharat@2047.
Sharma said the ‘Seva Setu’ initiative will have special significance as it will help eligible beneficiaries understand various welfare schemes of the Central Government and assist them with documentation, applications and access to government benefits.
He emphasised that every BJP worker must approach the campaign with a spirit of responsibility and compassion and ensure that no deserving beneficiary is left unaware of or unable to access a welfare scheme due to lack of information or procedural assistance.
“Twenty-five years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji’s public life offer a powerful lesson that politics must ultimately remain an instrument of public service and nation-building. Every BJP worker in Jammu & Kashmir will carry this message to the people through Seva Sankalp Abhiyaan,” Sharma said.
He added that service activity at every booth, public outreach at every mandal and meaningful engagement with families across the region will remain key priorities of the campaign.
BJP State Secretary Manjeet Razdan, BJP District President Doda Babu Ram Sharma, senior leader Gajay Singh Rana, and District General Secretaries Sanjay Saraf, Rakesh Sharma and Ashok Kumar also spoke on the occasion and shared their suggestions for making the campaign broad-based, impactful and people-centric.
The workshop was attended by district office bearers, Morcha presidents, Mandal presidents, Shakti Kendra in-charges, members of the district Seva Sankalp Abhiyaan team and other senior party karyakartas.
Pawan Sharma said the organisational machinery must work collectively to ensure that the campaign reaches every section of society and becomes a meaningful platform for public service, peoples participation and awareness.
He said the campaign will also reinforce the collective commitment of BJP workers towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji’s vision of Viksit Bharat@2047, with service, organisation and public participation serving as its foundation. “Saluting 25 years of dedicated service, Let us embark on a new resolve of service, and move together towards a Viksit Bharat.”
