SOPORE: Police in Sopore have solved a theft case by arresting two accused persons involved in the commission of crime. Police Post Bus Stand received a written complaint from Asrar Ali son of Abid Hussain Ali resident of Saidpora, Sopore, regarding theft of valuable copper items from his scrap workshop situated at Brath Crossing Road.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 223/2026 was registered at Police Station Sopore and investigation was initiated. During the course of investigation, the accused persons were identified and apprehended. The stolen copper items/scrap were recovered from their possession and seized in accordance with law.

The accused have been identified as Mehraj-ud-Din Malla son of Ghulam Mohammad Malla and Irfan Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Ahad Dar, both residents of Mehrajpora, Sopore. Further investigation is underway.
