JAMMU: For the first time in the history of Jammu, over fifty distinguished persons from different walks of life will be honoured in a colourful function to be held on December 22, this month, at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu. Nanaji Deshmukh Library & Documentation department Incharge Prof.(Dr.) Kulbhushan Mohtra shared it while addressing a press conference along with Pawan Sharma, Director PK Films and Sanjeev Vaid, Co-ordinator of the event.
Prof.(Dr.) Kulbhushan Mohtra, while elaborating, said that a grand and colourful function of "Dogra Legacy Excellence Award-2024" is being organized on December 22 at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu, by Parmeshwari Care & Cure Charitable Trust and PKS Films in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art/ Culture and Languages. In this function over fifty persons, who have been contributing in promotion of Dogra Culture through their efforts will be honoured.
There are many such persons who have devoted many years of their lives for the cause of the Dogra culture but never came to limelight, few among them have also been traced and they too will be honoured.
A number of cultural events will also be presented by Dogra artists from different district of Jammu in particular, he informed. Prof.(Dr.) Mohtra further said that pure dogra cuisines/food will also be served after the function at the same venue. The function will be presided over by Sat Sharma, president Jammu and Kashmir BJP and Union Minister, Dr. Jitendra Singh has given his consent to be chief guest. He appealed to the Dogra culture loving citizens to come, watch the colourful function and have the taste of dogra food.
