KULGAM: The week long, ‘Good Governance Week-2024’ programme commenced today with ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Aur’ initiative in Kulgam district witnessing series of activities and programs. During the day, grievances redressal camps, awareness sessions and interactive events were organized in Panchayats, Blocks and Tehsils. On the occasion, camps were held where officials from various departments engaged directly with the public to listen to their grievances and address them promptly.
Resource persons from multiple departments delivered insightful sessions, educating people about online services aimed at fostering transparency, accountability, and efficiency in government functioning. The emphasis was placed on ensuring that citizens can access these services with ease, eliminating delays and bottlenecks. Certificates were also distributed among beneficiaries and applicants under various schemes, bringing tangible outcomes to the beneficiaries of government initiatives.
Additionally, special awareness programs were conducted focusing on various employment and livelihood schemes. These sessions aimed to inform the youth and unemployed individuals about opportunities available through government programs to empower them economically. The activities held under the Good Governance Week were met with enthusiasm from the public, reflecting the district administration’s commitment to delivering citizen-centric governance. The weeklong campaign will continue with more initiatives planned to ensure effective public service delivery and inclusive governance.
