ANANTNAG: ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’, the Nation-wide campaign for redressal of Public Grievances and improving Service Delivery was today flagged-off in the Anantnag District. The campaign is a week-long feature which aims to promote Good Governance practices, innovations and replication of initiatives, identification, promotion and documentation of best practices, taking redressal of public grievances to doorsteps of citizens & taking Administration to grassroots through ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’ campaign.
In Anantnag, special good governance camps were organised at Blocks of Achabal, Shangus, Chittergul, Larnoo and Tehsils of Pahalgam and Dooru. Special Nodal Officers were appointed at each camp. Visiting officers comprising senior officers were appointed for each camp. Each camp witnessed large scale participation of people.
During the course of six camps held today nearly 100 applications and 80 grievances of citizens were disposed-off. Special awareness campaigns vis-a-vis government initiatives were organised by the concerned departments, certificates related to public services were issued by concerned revenue authorities and multiple service delivery applications were disposed-off.
A significant feature of this campaign was the special focus on awareness related to the newly launched Mission YUVA. The district administration has devised an extensive and comprehensive week-long plan of action which shall take administration to the doorsteps of the people across Anantnag, including in remote areas. Each Tehsil and block shall be covered during this campaign. A total of 28 camps have been proposed to be held in total.
