- Congress was beleaguered by corruption, policy paralysis
JAMMU: Modi government ensured the welfare of the downtrodden and reached out to the poor and needy in the most neglected sections of society. Prime Minister Narendra Modi sailed India out of troubled waters in the midst of an economic downturn due to the then-ruling Indian National Congress, which was beleaguered by massive corruption charges, slowing economic growth, rampant inflation, and a pervasive sense of policy paralysis, said Sat Sharma, President, J&K BJP.
“It is the Narendra Modi-led Union government that gave the voice to the voiceless, helped the poor & the downtrodden, provided stability to the national politics, put India in race to the most developed nations and helped gain self-esteem to all the Indians around the globe”, said Sharma.
Sharma said that PM Modi, who hailed from a backward caste family of modest means raised the nation at the international forum, while the Congress which is ruled by a single family, with a lack of ideology and a borrowed vision damaged the nation and the prominent personalities at all the times to show dedication to a single royal family.
Sat Sharma said that the residents of India through Kashmir to Kanyakumari have now witnessed the double-faced character of the Congress party, which follows the British colonial ideology of ‘divide and rule’. The Congress party wanted to divide society based on the Caste system but did not help the neglected and the oppressed to strengthen their socio-economic status.
“The residents of India have thrown the Congress party to the borderline due to its dividing politics. At the same time the people have acknowledged the ideology and the policies of BJP in their hearts which has led the nation on the path of development and today, made the BJP the single largest political party in the world”, said Sat Sharma.
Sat Sharma was speaking on the occasion, when Choudhary Abdul Ghani, contested MLA from Poonch Haveli submitted 20 thousand offline forms of BJP membership to the BJP State President at party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. Former Minister Sukhnandan Choudhary and several other prominent leaders also submitted thousands of forms to the BJP state President.
