• Mission Statehood President sends strong message from Rehari Chungi; demands timeframe for restoration of Dogra State, Liberation of PoK, and Rajya Sabha representation for Jammu

JAMMU: Sunil Dimple, President of Mission Statehood, held a protest at Rehari Chungi, BC Road, Jammu to send a loud and clear message on behalf of the people of Jammu and Kashmir to the visiting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is scheduled to visit Katra, Jammu on June 6 for the inauguration of the train service from Katra to the Kashmir Valley.

Addressing the protestors, Dimple appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to announce the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir's statehood along with its special status during his visit to Katra on Friday, June 6.

Dimple demanded that the Prime Minister disclose a clear timeframe for the restoration of the Dogra state of Jammu and Kashmir. He also called on the Prime Minister to liberate Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Gilgit-Baltistan, which are integral parts of the Jammu and Kashmir state and India. Additionally, he urged the Prime Minister to conduct elections for the four vacant Rajya Sabha seats and appealed to the alliance government to nominate at least one Dogra from Jammu who has not lost any Assembly or Parliamentary election.

Dimple reiterated that the struggle for the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir’s statehood, and the reinstatement of Articles 370 and 35-A, would continue. He demanded that the Prime Minister restore Jammu and Kashmir's statehood along with its special status, and replace the current Lieutenant Governor with a local resident – a non-political figure from the retired judiciary, IAS, or IPS officers of the erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir state.

He alleged that after the abrogation of Article 370, the youth of Jammu and Kashmir have suffered greatly, facing poverty, unemployment, and miserable living conditions. He warned that the struggle would continue and that the Dogras of Jammu would not compromise on the restoration of the Dogra state, the terms of the Instrument of Accession, or Articles 370 and 35-A as granted by Maharaja Hari Singh Ji.

Dimple also accused BJP MLAs of childish behavior, claiming they are only focused on increasing their salaries to â‚č5 lakh per month. He further alleged that after Jammu and Kashmir was downgraded to a Union Territory, power projects were sold off, and the liquor and mining mafias from outside the region took control. He also criticized the discontinuation of the Darbar Move.

Dimple strongly criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Prime Minister, and the Home Minister for their non-committal stance on the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir's statehood. Senior leaders present at the protest included Rocky Katoor, Happy, Narender Chowdhary, Sanjeev, and many others. Let me know if you'd like a shorter or more formal version of this statement.
